Dr. Christal-Joy Forgenie
Dr. Christal-Joy Forgenie, MD, is a board certified pediatrician from Prospect Heights, Brooklyn. After graduating from Brooklyn Technical High School, she went on to attend Brown University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Human Biology. From there, she obtained her Medical Degree at Stony Brook University-School of Medicine, and thereafter, went on to complete her residency at The Morgan Stanley-Children's Hospital of NY at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital.
Prior to starting at SoHa Pediatrics, Dr. Forgenie worked at Montefiore Medical Center as an Associate Attending of Clinical Pediatrics for several years. She then worked in private practice in Washington Heights.
Her passion is to keep and make children healthy. Dr. Forgenie ensures that she stays up-to-date with new recommendations and data, as they relate to pediatrics. She is especially devoted to educating parents and children, so that everyone (physician, parent, and in many cases, the patient) can make informed and educated decisions regarding all aspects of children's health.
When Dr. Forgenie is not working, she enjoys reading, staying physically active, spending time with her family, traveling abroad, and participating in the myriad events that New York City is known for.
